Scotty Middleton made a severe setback with 3.2 seconds to play and Seton Hall finished the match on a 6-0 driving to stun the UCONN 69-68 on overtime and break a nine-game ski on Saturday in Newark, NJ

Seton Hall overcame a late seven-point deficit when Dylan Adadae-Wusu made the team’s last 10 regulation points, including the playing 3-pointer with less than five seconds left. Uconn turned the ball on a five -second violation to give the pirates as possession under their basket.

Uconn led for most of overtime and pushed forward 65-61 at Solo Ball’s 3 and 68-63 at Tarris Reed Jr.’s first field goals in the game.

Four free throw, the pirates brought back within one point, and with nine seconds to go, Uconn again pulled an incoming game. Garwey Dual grabbed a steal and Middleton followed his own miss to make the game winner.

Hassan Diarra’s last-ditch shot from Midcourt bounced by the front of the edge for Uconn when the time expired.

The Pirates (7-18, 2-12 Big East) did much better with Addae-Wusu, Middleton and Emmanuel Okorafor back from absence.

Isaiah Coleman had 23 points 23 points and eight returns, Godwill Erheriene had a career order of 12 points and 10 boards for their first doubles and Addae-Wusu added 13 points.

Uconn (17-8, 9-5 Big East) committed 16 sales and shot a seasonal 37.3 percent from the field-only 8-for-28 during the first half.

Alex Karaban scored 20 points, Ball had 15 points and seven returns and Diarra added 12 points and five assists. Freshman Liam McNeeley chipped in 11 points and nine returns but made six sales.

Karaban did to put Uconn up 17-14 with 8:59 left in half, but then Huskies hit a 6: 17-long speechless drought. Erheriene, Middleton and Coleman combined for an 11-0 Seton Hall run and an eight-point advantage before Ball struck a corner 3 to finish the route.

Uconn pulled within 25-22 at halftime but started the second half 1-for-11 from the floor. Seton Hall took a couple of seven-point lines before Jaylin Stewart came on the board for the first time with a 3-pointer on the ground 12:19.

It finally made the Huskies go outside, when Karaban struck before Ball’s Pull-Up 3 did it 39-37 Uconn, its first lead since 17-16.

Seton Hall banded the game at 43 and 45 before the Garwey Dual’s Open 3-Poiner set the Pirates up 48-47 with 5:17 to play. McNeeley made a shot from the iron and in and followed it with a wide open 3 point from the right corner. Karaban fell a trey at the next UCONN obsession for a lead of 55-48.
