Late free throws lift baylor to victory over tcu

Robert Wright III pulled a foul and knocked down both free throw in one by 2.2 seconds left to break the tie, and then Norchad Omier hit a free throw in the last second to lift Baylor to a 61-58 victory over TCU on Tuesday evening in Fort Worth, Texas.

Omier published a gaming pile of 19 points with 12 returns for his sixth double double in a row. VJ Edgecombe finished with 18 points, and Wright rounded Bears double -figure harvester with 11 points and seven assists.

Bears (18-12, 10-9 Big 12) won his fifth straight match at TCU (16-14, 9-10), which defeated Baylor earlier this season in Waco.

The victory helps Bears to strengthen himself as a NCAA tournament worthy while the frogs are in a situation where they must mainly win the Big 12 tournament to reach a fourth straight NCAA tournament.

TCU was led by Noah Reynold’s 16 points. The Trazarien White ended with 11 points.

It was a back and forth business all night. Baylor jumped out to an early nine-point lead during the first half, but TCU fought back to bind the match at 35-35 at the break.

During the second half of the year, Baylor appeared on his way to victory. The bears went on a 15-3 driving, covered with consecutive 3-points of Omier for a 52-42 lead with 10:15 left. Omier had not made several 3 points in one game since he beat down two against Utah on January 25.

But the frogs came back in it despite the fact that they shot 23.3 percent from the field during the second half. White delivered along the route and binds the game at 58-58 with an arrangement with 23 seconds left. But the bears answered in the last seconds.

Wright pulled a foul against TCU’s Vasean Allette with 2.2 seconds left. Wright did both of their free throw, and then Omier was fouled with 1.0 seconds left. He made one of his two attempts.

Both teams end their usual seasons on Saturday. Baylor is worth # 3 Houston while TCU travels to Colorado.
