The Detroit Lions Wideout Jameson Williams will not face discipline from the NFL for wearing an unlicensed gun, with a league spokesman who tells Detroit Free Press on Wednesday that the thing is “closed.”
Williams, 23, also avoided criminal charges for the gun, discovered by the police during a traffic stop in October. He was a passenger in the car who was driven by his brother when the police pulled them over to quickly. Two weapons were found, one registered to Williams and one for his brother.
However, Williams did not have a hidden gun license to carry the gun at that time but received a later.
Wayne County (Mich.) Prosecutor at the end of November refused to accuse Williams.
Williams has been interrupted by the league twice – in six matches in total – during his first three seasons in the NFL for breaching games and performance -enhancing drug policy.
He pulled 58 catches for 1,001 meters and seven touchdowns in 15 matches (11 starts) in 2024. He has 10 touchdowns in 33 career games (21 starts) since the Lions chose him no. 12 Overall in the draft by 2022.
