Maryland Big Man Derik Queen says goodbye to school after a season and explains to the NBA draft.

The 6-foot-10 Queen made her announcement on ESPN and said “I enter the 2025 NBA draft.”

The star from Baltimore was an average of 16.5 points and 9.0 returns in 36 matches for terrapins. The first team All-Big Ten-Election is expected to be a lottery picking and can move to top 10.

The Queen’s ability to handle the pressure was shown in the second round of the NCAA tournament when he made the decisive game-ending bank shot in a victory 72-71 over the Colorado State which vaulted terrapins to Sweet 16.

Queen ended her season with 27 points in a loss of 87-71 to Florida.

On the question of his best memories in Maryland, only one utilization was mentioned.

“Of course, the Colorado State shot,” said the queen. “Then me and my teammates are around each other all the time, it’s my guys and I will miss those moments.”
