With its emotional and strengthening new EP ‘closure’, Matt Terry, says her journey with self -discovery and self -recording. After meeting various trials and devastation, the former Factor winner has taken up the pieces and drives forward.
“Closing” is a powerful showcase of Matts incredible talent as a singer writer. The five-track collection is his most personal work so far and it illustrates that struggles are a run-in for strength and growth.
Matt Terry spoke before the EP’s release and recently said: “I am so ready to post another musical project in the world. I am extremely proud of it. More than anything, it is for myself to put everything on the table and close this chapter.
I feel it will allow me to release some heart feeling and find some kind of peace with the industry that almost killed me. I am so frustrated by the music industry in general. I wish it could be more talent -driven and I hope that one day we find us back and remember the real power of music and voices. Let’s forget numbers to some extent, I understand that they are important, but find the balance.
So on the note artists we can never quit and we must continue to create and tell our stories as authentic as we can, because this planet needs us. Love always wins and the truth will free you. Today I am relieved to say when I am in front of a mirror, I see an extremely strong and resilient man who smiles back to me. I guess it’s closing now.”
“Closing” is now here on all digital platforms. In addition to including two new songs, the gripping collection has Matt’s latest singles: ‘His car’, ‘Ghost of Me’ and ‘You Don’t Know Nothing’. All five tracks have heartfelt texts that will hit a chord and reason with listeners long after the music has ended.
