Dallas Mavericks star Anthony Davis “makes good progress” with his left adductor tribe but will be on the page at least two more weeks, the team announced on Thursday.
The veteran’s big man suffered from the injury during his February 8 with Dallas after being acquired in a blockbuster trading who sent colleague All-NBA star Luka Doncic to Los Angeles Lakers.
In 31 minutes against the visiting Houston Rockets, Davis collected 26 points, 16 returns, seven assists and three blocks. He was 10 out of 18 from the field before he went late in the third quarter due to the injury.
Davis, 31, missed Maverick’s next three matches before the All-Star break. He will be on the page in at least seven competitions to-the-February 25 road games against Lakers-based on the two-week timeline.
Plays in its 13th NBA season, 10 o’clock all-stats is an average of 25.7 points, 12.0 returns, 3.4 assists and 2.2 blocks in 43 games (all starts).
Mavericks also signed the center Moses Brown to a 10-day contract. Brown, 25, played in nine matches this season for Indiana Pacers and was on average 3.2 points, 1.4 returns and 5.1 minutes. He has played for seven different NBA teams, including Dallas for 26 matches (one start) during the 2021-22 season when he average 3.1 points, 2.3 returns and 6.5 minutes.
