Max Homa and his long Caddy, childhood friend Joe Greiner, have decided to split.

When Homa Tears up at Valero Texas opens this week, he will have veteran Caddy Bill Harke on his bag instead.

“Joe and I made memories for a lifetime and can’t be more grateful for all the hard work,” Homa said Thursday in a statement to pgatour.com. “We have shared roads and it will be sad to see him go. I will always be grateful to have walked in fairways with one of my best friends.”

Homa, 34, was a late-flowering star on the PGA tour and gathered six victories between 2019 and 2023. When he was ranked as high as No. 5 in the world, he banded for third at last year’s champion but has been in a decline during the year ago.

Homa has dropped to No. 78 in the official world golfer and has missed four cuts in a row. He has not finished better than tied in 26th place this year.

The Texas Open is the last tournament before Masters next week, the first major season.
