Mensik looks like a server fine with a great future, while Djokovic’s 20-1 record in Miami after reaching the quarter finals makes him the heavy favorite for Sunday’s final. Below is a complete summary, match statistics and highlights from Friday’s semi -final.

Menican Outmanoeuvres Fritz

Jakub Mensik took out Taylor Fritz 7-6 (4), 4-6, 7-6 (4) to reach his first ATP Masters 1000 final and set up a showdown with childhood hero Novak Djokovic.
Mensik has driven through the draw, and he continued that trend on Friday, thunderstorms 25 aces and kept his nerve in two clutch bonds to remove the home town’s favorite,
The Czech Republic could not break Fritz served for two hours, 25-minute collision, and the US rescued the only two breaking points he met in the third set.
However, Tie-Breaks where Mensik found its game and won an astonishing 27-shot rally on Fritz’s serve in the third set of Tie-Break to set up two match points and convert the first with a blowing ace.
In what was a serve party, I thought Fritz played pretty well, but his forehand was not as solid as he would like. This year he has not met that shot so well, and while I think it looked better in Miami, cost some important errors in the semi -finals and that is why mensik could come out on top.
When it comes to mensik, he is a real force with his game, huge serving, big grounds but not the best relocator out there that I think Novak will use in the final.
The re -race was tough today. We earned really good today so he didn’t give me an opportunity to break him. It was only tie-breaks for me who was the decision. I came to show my best performance in Tie-Breaks. Menican on his win.
Between the two tie breaks I have to win one of them. I have to play a little better. I think when I play well, when I win matches, that’s kind of exactly what I do. I pull through these situations. So to just be tipped in two tie-breaks, it sucks. I did my job. I didn’t get broken. I did not meet a breaking point until the third set, so … it sucks. If conditions are fast enough and he earns good enough, he will always be in the match. It will be tight. He will have a solid chance. I’m not sure I couldn’t return a serving, that doesn’t mean Novak will not be able to return a serving. It will depend on it. Fritz on the loss.

Djokovic serves past Dimitrov

Novak Djokovic is a victory away from a record seventh Miami Open and his 100th turn level for turn level and sent Grigor Dimitrov 6-2, 6-3 in a clinical 70-minute semi-final on Friday.
Djokovic’s service was again the cornerstone of his game. He landed 87% of his first serving (highest of his career) and won 79% of these points.
Dimitrov started well with a break in the first match of the match, but he got tired quickly. As I expected, he looked drained after his astonishing quarter final against Francisco Cerundolo, during which he needed medical assistance to leave the court and he committed 32 unthreated errors.
It did not help that he had only won one of 12 meetings on his way in, and he had no answers to Djokovic’s precision out there, with Novak who did not make a single unthinkable mistake from his advance.
While I think the state is somewhat misleading, because he knew he did not have to rip the foreshadow, because Dimitrov could not hurt him from the baseline, it is impressive to stay perfect on a single image at this level.
As far as my game goes, again, the service was definitely the highlight of the match. I think I was 83 percent [first-serves made] last match, and I thought it would probably be hard to beat it, but today 87 [per cent]. I don’t know what to say, I’ve earned really well, and hopefully I can continue in the same way because it definitely makes my life easier on court. Djokovic on his serving screen.
