Michael McDowell wins the 7th Career Pole before Pennzoil 400

Las Vegas, Nevada – Spire Racings Michael McDowell caught pole position for the seventh time in his career during Saturday’s qualification session for Pennzoil 400 on Las Vegas Motor Speedway. McDowell’s former six poles all came during the 2024 season, his 17th Cup series.

Joey Logano starts Sunday’s race together with McDowell on the front of the network and qualifies in the two best at Las Vegas for the third time in five races. Austin Cindric will start third, while Vega’s native Kyle Busch starts in fourth place.

Christopher Bell qualified in 13th place when he searches for the difficult fourth victory in a row. Lackluster qualification has not been a deterrent to Bell so far, as he started 19th before winning at Circuit of the Americas and 32nd before winning in Atlanta.
