Indianapolis -When the NFL team asks Mason Graham for a feature film from his college career that defines him as an opportunity, the Michigan man has a lot to choose from.
But he also has a favorite.
“I mean, I feel I just roll the Ohio State movie. That’s all you need to see, really,” said Graham Wednesday at NFL Scouting Combine.
A top-five prospectus departing Ann Arbor with a national title and All-American status, Graham angles for position at the top of a charged defensive line class in 2025 NFL draft. He entered the draft after three college seasons and was described by his former college coach, Jim Harbaugh, as one of the best players he ever trained.
He is an inner defensive lineman with the body and burst to stop driving and penetrate to collapse the pocket.
“I feel that I affect every snap, run or pass,” Graham said. “I feel like one of the most dominant players in this class.”
One position that the Tennessee -Titans may not need is defensive tackle, which means that Graham probably won’t be picked first. But the rest of the top 10 can be on the market for a player that can affect the defense on each down. Three of these teams were already checked from his list of interviews in Indianapolis with others on the dock Wednesday.
Graham said in meetings with the Patriots – New England has No. 4 Overall elections – and Raiders (sixth), both teams focused on what makes Graham crosses.
His answer?
“How hard I work. No things outside the field. I’m about business,” Graham said. “I’m not a mysterious guy. You don’t have to look deeply to find out. Everything is out there. Nothing to hide.”
Wolverines teammate Kenneth Grant is also seen as a first round view as a traditional nose tackle. A native in Merrillville, Ind., He said that his parents, sisters and siblings and nephew are planning to be on hand for his training this weekend.
Grant also met the patriots on their first night in Indianapolis in addition to sessions with Lions, Bills and Cowboys.
Grant is trimmed from 347 to 332, Grant has worked double time to put on a show in his position training. His goal is 30-plus bench press rope and a 40-yard line at 4.8-second intervals.
He said there is one aspect of his game that will stand out.
“Definitely my power. Just work with my power. Look at (Giants All-Pro) Dexter Lawrence, White Vea, how these guys use their power and body size,” Grant said.
