During a period of uncertainty for Milan, a vote from the past has weighed in with advice for the club’s future. Former manager and club legend Fabio Capello Has demanded calm and strategic thinking rather than a sweeping revolution this summer. According to Capello, Milan’s foundation is strong – and from the current guard list, seven players deserve the core forward.
But does that list contain big names like Rafael Leao, Santiago Gimenez, Joao Felix or Christian Pulisic?

Familiar faces and some surprises
In its analysis, Capello identified seven current players that absolutely should be part of Milan’s future. After some excitement it turns out Rafael Leao and Christian Pulisic make the cut. Among the seven, Tijjani Reijnders, Christian Pulisic, Youussouf Fofana, Pavlovic, Rafael Leao, Mike Maignan and Fikayo Tomori were the names out.
Capello praised Reijnders and Fofana for their outstanding contribution during a turbulent season. “In a Milan that has been in general confusion, Reijnders, Pulisic, and I also say that Fofana has stood out,“ The former midfielder noted. “They form a solid base.”
When it came to LionCapello was carefully optimistic. “I saw a Leao who was finally hungry: with his physical strength, if he played at 80% of his potential, he would be unstoppable – it should be his standard,” He warned. But he also lamented that Leao often played at only 40% of its capacity.
Concerning Christian PulisikCapello had high praise: “Pulisic is another player who gives texture and quality and fits perfectly in Milan. He is one of the players who has guaranteed a 6.5 rating and sometimes even a 7 or higher. I always ask myself: Who can I find better than him?”
Those who remain: hard reality for some
While Santiago Gimenez and Joao Felix were expected that some would be part of Milan’s core forward, Capello did not offer them the same approval. He was particularly skeptical of Gimenez’s influence. “The question of adaptation exists, in Italy you will find less space and different markings,” he said. “But if anyone has quality shows it.
