Minus two stars, nuggets still

Aaron Gordon scored a season-high 38 points, Russell Westbrook recorded a triple breeze and Denver Nuggets, who played without Nikola Jokic and Jamal Murray, stunned the Golden State Warriors 114-105 in San Francisco on Monday evening.

With Jokian breastfeeding a sore elbow and ankle, and Murray who handled a justified right ankle, Nuggets Gordon, Westbrook and a double double from Michael Porter Jr. To their second straight victory over Warriors this season and ninth in a row by 2022.

Jimmy Butler III had 23 points and Stephen Curry 20 for Warriors, who saw a seven-game winning line ended.

Warriors, who had won the first four matches in a seven-game home, collected from 15 down to come within 97-94 with 6:48 to go.

But as was the case all night, Gordon, a former high school star in San Jose, had a response for the visitors and drilled a stepback shirt to trigger a six-point driving. He also completed the most important sprint with a follow -up and created a nine -point margin, and Warri’s never seriously challenged again.

Gordon’s 38 points were seven more than his previous high this season, ‘D Total earlier this season and three fewer than his career-high when he was a member of Orlando Magic 2017. He made 14 of his 23 shots and 4 of 6 from Deep, while finding time for six returns, five at the offensive end. He also had seven of Nugget’s 20 turnover.

Westbrook, NBA’s leader for all the time in triple dubbles, secured his 203rd by adding 12 points, 11 returns and 16. He also contributed three steals and two blocks to the victory.

Porter chipped with 21 points and 10 returns, while Peyton Watson added 13 points.

Butler added eight returns, six assists and two steals, while Curry, who went 4-for-14 on 3-points, added seven assists and three steals. He also had seven of the Golden State 20 sales.

Gary Payton II added 18 points for the Golden State, while Jonathan Kuminga had 13 and Draymond Green 10 to go with six returns, five assists, three steals and four blocks.
