New York Red Bulls signed Scottish midfielder Lewis Morgan for a new two -year contract that contains alternatives for 2027 and 2028.
Morgan, 28, recorded 20 goal contributions last season (13 goals, seven assists) and was named this year’s comeback player.
“Lewis is an incredible person, which means a lot to our dressing room and our club,” said head coach Sandro Schwarz. “He is a very influencing player and we are happy to have the opportunity to continue working with him.”
Morgan has registered 34 goals and 23 assists in 123 MLS matches (117 starts) with Inter Miami CF (2020-21) and Red Bulls.
-CF Montreal announced the acquisition of the defenders Brandan Craig and Luca Petrasso.
Craig, 20, is signed for 2025 with option year from 2026-28. He came up through the Philadelphia Union system before lending to Austin FC 2023 and the USL championship side El Paso Lokomotiv 2024.
“He showed texture and good technical quality of the ball during the camp,” said Montreal President and CEO Gabriel Gervais. “He is a young player who can play as a central defender or on the right side of the defense.”
Petrasso, 24, is signed for 2025 with alternative year 2026 and 2027. He has four assists in 37 MLS matches (25 starts) with Toronto FC (2022) and Orlando City (2023-24).
“We’re happy to add Luca to our squad,” Gervais said. “He is a versatile player with MLS experience that will provide support on the left side, both in the wing back and my back position.”
-Toronto FC signed HomeGrown goalkeeper Adisa de Rosario, 20, to a two -year contract with options for 2027 and 2028.
De Rosario, 20, made 55 rescues in 25 performances for MLS Next Pro Affiliate Toronto FC II. He also spent time on loans in the Canadian Premier League 2022 and 2023.
