Best NBA initiatives for tonight’s action
We officially take a temporary break from college basketball and focus on the NBA. Some of the league’s best team and players will be in action tonight, and these teams will do our Best NBA initiatives List for the day.
We get started with an ET game from 19:30: Golden State Warriors vs. Miami Heat (odds via Fanduel).
Golden State Warriors (-4.5) against Miami Heat (+166)
Golden State will try to get back on the right side of the scoreboard tonight after losing 124-115 to Atlanta Hawks last night. Atlanta jumped to a 17-point lead during the first quarter, and Warri’s never really recovered.
Jimmy Butler led the road with 25 points for a Warriors team who definitely missed their superstar, Steph Curry. Curry set out due to an injury affected last Thursday against Toronto. It is unclear if he plays tonight; He is officially listed as a decision on playing time.
Miami finally finished his 10-match losing line with a 122-105 victory over Charlotte Hornets on Sunday. Andrew Wiggins exploded for 42 points against Hornets.
Our choice: Warriors -4.5
Talk about a story about two teams. Since the trade that sent Butler to Warriors, the heat has taken a nosediv (5-17) while Golden State has gone 16-4. I would feel more convenient to pick Warriors with a healthy curry in the range.
But as bad as Miami has been, the rest of Warriors’ guard list that is talented enough is to take care of the heat.

Oklahoma City Thunder (-9.5) against Sacramento Kings (+315)
Oklahoma City remains on cruise control after earning his 59th victory in the season Sunday, a victory 103-101 over Clippers. It was Thunder’s sixth straight victory and their 13th in the last 14 matches. A victory would give them 60 wins for the first time since the 2012-13 season.
Sacramento has fought and lost its last two and seven of the last 10. If the kings do not have the right vessel soon, they will risk slipping out of the play-in tournament. Sabonis, Malik Monk and Devin Carter are listed as a decision on playing time.
It would be tough for the kings to defeat the thunderstorm with a healthy list, but before them without all three – or even one of them – only makes the challenge steeper.
Our choice: Oklahoma City -9.5
Even with a healthy list, I would not expect the kings to keep up with the thunderstorm. But if they are down one, two or possibly three large players, the thunderstorm may have this spread covered by half time.

Cleveland Cavaliers (-6.5) against Portland Trail Blazers (+210)
With 10 matches left and three backs of Mavericks for the last Play-in spot, Trail Blazers does not have room for errors. Beat a team like Cavaliers just because they need is easier said than done.
Again, Cleveland needed overtime to beat Portland with four, 133-129, just a few weeks ago on March 2. But with Donovan Mitchell and Jayon Tyson is already excluded, a window may be open to Portland to register an unexpected victory.
Cleveland has not played its best basketball recently. Sunday’s victory 120-91 over the jazz snapped a four-game losing line; Three of these four losses came on the road – at Sacramento, Phoenix and Clippers.
Our choice: Portland +9.5
Cleveland is the better team, even with Mitchell from the set. Cavs is fresh of a big victory over the jazz, and Portland lost to Celtics in its last match, 129-116. But before that, Blazers had won four straight.
I think trailblazers can take advantage of Mitchell’s absence and keep this closer than expected.
