NBA compilation: James Harden makes 40 points in Clippers win

James Harden scored 17 of his 40 points in the third quarter and Norman Powell posted 33 points when Los Angeles Clippers finished a 127-117 victory over visiting Milwaukee Bucks in Inglewood, California.

Kawhi Leonard scored 18 points, while matching a season height with 24 minutes in his seventh match of the season. Ivica Zubac had 12 points and 10 returns when Clippers went 3-2 for a seven-day distance.

The Clippers used a 14-0 run in the fourth quarter to turn a disadvantage of 100-98 into a lead of 112-100. The hard, which had nine assists, scored the last six points in the rally.

Giannis Antetokounmpo scored 36 points with 13 returns, and Damian Lillard had 29 points with 10 returns and 10 assists for his fifth career’s Triple-Double when Bucks saw a victory suite in five games end. Haliburton scored 16 points in a decisive 19-6 run to end the period. Pascal Siakam added 23 points and 11 returns for Indiana, who won for the third time in their last four competitions. Andrew Nembhard had 15 points, Myles Turner scored 14, Bennedict Mathurin beat for 13, tj McConnell 12 and Thomas Bryant 10.

Harrison Barnes led San Antonio with 25 points while Victor Wembanyama, from Paris, added 20 points and 12 returns. Stephon Castle scored 17 points and Chris Paul got 11 points. Spurs has lost four of its last five matches.

Timberwolves 133, Nuggets 104

Anthony Edwards poured 34 points when Minnesota cruised past Denver for a win in Minneapolis.

Edwards also had nine assists for Minnesota, who shot fantastic 55.8 percent from the field (53 out of 95). Seven Timberwolves had scores in double -digit, including Julius Randle (21), Rudy Gobert (14), Jaden McDaniels (13) and Naz Reid (13). Gobert added 14 returns to complete a double double.

Jamal Murray went to Denver with 25 points. Nikola Jokic failed to record her sixth straight triple dubble and collected 20 points, three boards and 11 assists. Russell Westbrook and Aaron Gordon got 13 points each when Nuggets lost for just the second time in 10 matches.

Celtics 122, Mavericks 107

Jayson Tatum scored 24 points in the match and Derrick White added 23 to lead guest Boston to a victory over Dallas.

Tatum and White each made four 3-points, while Celtics was 20 out of 52 (38.5 percent) from the 3-point area as a team in the victory. All five Boston starts scored at least 17 points. Jaylen Brown threw in 22, Kristaps Porzingis finished with 18 and Jrue Holiday had 17. Holiday was 5 out of 10 from the 3-point interval.

Kyrie Irving scored 22 points for Mavericks, who has lost six of his last eight matches. Quentin Grimes scored 20 points from the bench for Dallas, and Daniel Gafford had 19 points and 15 returns.

Knicks 143, Kings 120

OG Anunoby got 33 points in the team, which helped New York to defeat guest Sacramento.

Mikal Bridges added 27 points, Jalen Brunson had 25 points and 11 assists, and Josh Hart collected 20 points, 18 returns and 11 assists when Knicks won his third straight match. Karl-Anthony Towns had 18 points and 15 boards for New York, which made 17 of its 36 (47.2 percent) 3-point attempts.

Malik Monk led Kings with 31 points. The sabonis sabon chipped in 25 points, 13 returns and 12 assists, while Demar Derozan made 18 when Sacramento dropped his second in a row.

76ers 109, Bulls 97

Tyrese Maxey had 31 points and nine assists while Kelly Oubre Jr. Listed 22 points and 12 returns to lift visiting Philadelphia over falling Chicago.

76ers have won two matches in the same number of nights after a loss series in seven matches. Chicago has lost seven out of eight. The Bulls made 20 sales.

Zach Lavine had 25 points and eight returns for Chicago. Nikola Vucevic added 22 points and 12 returns. Josh Giddey registered his third straight double double for Bulls, and contributed 10 points and 10 returns left with seven assists.

Lakers 118, Warriors 108

Anthony Davis and Lebron James combined for 61 points as part of double doubles, Dorian Finney-Smith contributed a 3-point to a game-breaking upturn early in the fourth quarter and Los Angeles ran from the Golden State in San Francisco.

Davis finished with 36 points and 13 returns, and James came in with 25 points and 12 assists when Lakers improved to 2-0 this season against rival Warriors, with both victories on the way.

Andrew Wiggins drove the Golden State with 20 points in one evening when Stephen Curry missed all his eight shots in the second half, made only two three points overall and ended with 13 points.

Magic 121, pistons 113

Franz Wagner scored 25 of his 32 points in the fourth quarter when Magic hit a loss series of five matches with a victory over the visiting Detroit.

Paolo Banchero also had 32 points for Orlando (24-23), who went on with two before it started the fourth quarter with a 20-4 run to move forward with 99-85. Jonathan Isaac finished with 14 points, and Wendell Carter Jr. had 11 points and 11 returns.

Cade Cunningham led Pistons with 35 points and 11 assists. Malik Beasley scored 18 points, Ausar Thompson added 16, Tim Hardaway Jr. And Ron Holland II had 13 each and Jalen Duren ended with 10.

Suns 119, Wizards 109

Kevin Durant scored 29 points and Nick Richards continued to make a fantastic impression when Phoenix made a victory over visiting Washington.

Richards scored 20 points and collected the best 19 returns in his career in his fourth match with Suns and first home since he was bought from Charlotte Hornets last week. Bradley Beal, the former Washington star, also scored 20 points for Suns. Devin Booker added 18 points, seven assists and six returns, and Tyus Jones had 16 points.

Kyle Kuzma recorded 30 points and 11 returns for Washington, who lost his 13th straight match. Wizards has 0-5 on a trip in six matches and has 1-20 on the traveling foot this season. Jordan Poole had 19 points, 10 assists and the best sex steals in the career for wizards. Jonas Valanciunas scored 16 points, Bilal Coulibaly added 12 points and Alex Sarr and Bub Carrington had 11 each for Washington.

Grizzlies 125, Jazz 103

Jaren Jackson Jr. Scored 28 points and Zach Edey added 19 points, seven returns and four blocks when host Memphis defeated Utah for his sixth straight victory to make a season -best line.

Memphis guard Ja Morant returned after missing Friday’s match against Pelicans and had 11 points and seven assists. Desmond Bane contributed 17 points, nine returns and six assists, Jaylen Wells scored 16 and GG Jackson had 15 points and six returns.

Utah, who lost his fifth straight and for the eighth time in nine matches, was led by Collin sixteen with 20 points and SVI Mykhailiuk with 16.

Raptors 117, Hawks 94

Scottie Barnes, RJ Barrett and Chris Boucher combined for 70 points to lead guest Toronto to a victory over Atlanta and win back-to-back road winnings for the first time this season.

Toronto swept the series with two matches in three days and took the season series 2-1. Toronto won for only the third time in 22 road matches and has won three straight in Atlanta. Hawks have lost four in a row and lost to 11-10 at home. Barnes had 24 points, 12 returns and seven assists, Barrett added 23 points and eight returns and Boucher came from the bench and made 23.

Atlanta was led by white Krejci, who scored 20 points. Krejci matched his career with six 3-points and had seasonal seven assists. Trae Young had a sad match. He scored 16 points, had the season’s lowest four assists – finished a line of 202 games in a row with at least five assists – and made the season’s highest 11 sales.

Rockets 135, Cavaliers 131

Amen Thompson came up with critical late returns and points as part of her triple stubble performance, and visiting Houston completed the usual season wrap of Cleveland.

Houston never went after taking the lead halfway through the first quarter, but Cleveland struck with a disadvantage of as many as 19 points to force a draw with 1:51 left in the regulation. The Alperen Sengun matched Jalen Green with a team high 26 points. Thompson finished with 23 points, 14 returns and 10 assists in his second Triple Double in his career. He was one of four Houston starters who scored at least 20 points, and Fred Vanvleet added 20.

Clevelands Darius Garland led all goal scorers with 39 points and delivered a total of nine assists in the loss. George’s nation came from the bench and scored 21 points, and Max Strus finished with 14 points and nine returns for Cavaliers.

Heat 106, Nets 97

Tyler Herro scored 25 points when Miami pulled away in the third quarter and resisted Brooklyn’s late comeback to win in New York.

The Heat moved back to .500 for the 12th time this season with 22-22 and won for the ninth time in 21 matches for only four straight matches in early December. Herro made 8 out of 14 shots and had eight of Miami’s 22 assists.

Keon Johnson scored 13 of his 22 points in the fourth quarter to help Brooklyn with a disadvantage of 18 points early in the period. D’Angelo Russell also made 22 for Nets, who was without Cameron Johnson (right ankle) for the ninth time in 12 matches.

Hornets 123, Pelicans 92

Lamelo Ball and Miles Bridges returned from injuries and lost 25 and 22 points, respectively, when host Charlotte teased New Orleans.

Seth Curry scored 16 points from the bench and Josh Green gave 13 points to Charlotte. Although they got Ball and Bridges back, Hornets was without center Mark Williams, who handled a right -wing foot injury. Moussa Diabate logged 29 minutes from the bench to help fill in for Williams and set up nine points and 13 boards.

Zion Williamson, who had not played since January 17, received 28 points and 11 returns for Pelicans, who lost their second match in a row after a season -best win in four matches. Williamson made 11 out of 20 shots from the pitch. Trey Murphy III added 16 points, Jordan Hawkins had 14 and Yves Missi gave 12, but Pelicans could not overcome 38.1 percent shot from the floor. They fell to 4-18 in road games this season.
