NBA Play-in Tournament, NHL Best Betting Picks: Wednesday April 16

If you are like me, you just wrote one check to Uncle Sam to cover these annoying treasures and could use some extra money – or just a winning bet to get you a better mood. Today we have a couple of NBA games and a busy day on the ice to search for markets to call our best investments.

NBA Play-in Best bets: Wednesday April 16

I think the Miami-Chicago game could very well be the most entertaining of the play-in games. Whoever wins will not win much. While Chicago is a talented team and just beats the heat not so long ago, I think Eric Spoelstra will get the best possible games from Bam Adebayo, Tyler Herro and Andrew Wiggins.

When it comes to Sacramento, Sabonis is a beast and deserves to be in a better team than Kings. He will neutralize the impact Anthony Davis makes on the game, while Zach Lavine and Demar Derozan go nuts on the scoreboard. They will win by 10.

A $ 100 bet will result in a pay day of $ 372: your share ($ 100) and $ 272 in winnings.

Miami to make the playoffs at +320

A seed # 10 has not yet done so through the play-in tournament and in the playoffs. I think Miami has a pretty good shot. I have already said that I think they will hit the bulls and move on to meet either the hawks or the magic in the other game (it will be in Atlanta).

They went 2-2 against the magic this season. So at +320 I really like the value here.

Coby White, below 22.5 points on -110

White went over this total in 17 of its last 21 games in the regular season and was an average of 20.4 points per match during the regular season. But he missed it in his last three matches and all three matches against Miami this season. I bet Miami will play solid defense on white and keep him in check.

Bam Adebayo, over 18.5 points at -120

He has an average of 18.1 this season, but since Jimmy Butler left the city he has increased his game, an average of 20+ points in February, March and in April’s handful of games. When Heat was without Butler in the playoffs last season, he was an average of 22+ points per match.

No butler, no problems. He will go over his point in total.

NHL Best bets: Wednesday April 16

Edmonton Oilers against San Jose Sharks

Oilers have had their way with the sharks this season, and it is not difficult to see why. Edmonton has one of the best teams in the NHL, and the sharks are among the worst. But with nothing on the line, will Edmonton put a team out there?

Probably not-and if they do, it will only be long enough to get the taste of Tuesday’s 5-0 loss to the kings out of their mouths. But how long Edmonton plays, the A -team will not mean. Oilers B team can take down the low sharks.

Our choice: Oilers -1.5 (+130)

Carolina Hurricanes vs. Montreal Canadiens

Carolina has struggled somewhat recently and lost five of the last six. But while it is nice to end the regular season with a better finish, it is a bit more important to go into their first round series versus New Jersey as possible.

When it comes to Montreal, with Columbus who won Tuesday night, they need a win (or a blue jacket’s loss) to stick to the last wild-card site. Instead of expecting someone else to beat the blue jackets, they will take care of business themselves versus a team that already looks in the morning.
