On Thursday, the Nevada Gaming Commission approved several licenses for a Malta-based sports book company that will support Nevadas Bally’s Corp. Properties on a business basis.
The meeting was conducted at Boulder City Hall and the latest Nevada Gaming Control Board member, Reno lawyer Chandeli Sendall, who was appointed by Gov Joe Lombardo Wednesday, was present.
As a license holder in companies to companies, Kambi Group PLC will provide software and cancel and maintain the Sport-Beting platform for the regulated licensed customers that it serves. It has no immediate plans to earn sports betting consumers directly.
Cambi’s best customer in the state is Ballys, which runs a casino at Lake Tahoe. A company representative said that there are no immediate plans for Future Bally’s development in Las Vegas. The company has discussed developing a resort at the former site of Tropicana in connection with the construction of a Major League Baseball Stadium for athletics on the southeastern corner of Tropicana Avenue and Las Vegas Boulevard South.
The company, founded in 2010, earns more than 40 operators in more than 50 jurisdictions. As a global sports company, managers said it supports companies that mostly take investments in football and tennis matches, basketball and esports. They said that their American stores, mostly in markets in New Jersey and Pennsylvania, are investing in American football. Kambi has about 50 US-based employees. The company processes more than 1 billion investments each year.
Most of the company’s executive team is based in Sweden.
During an 80-minute hearing, commissioners interviewed several of the company’s managers, who were praised for participating in the control committee and the Commission’s hearings in person two weeks.
