Nevada Gaming Control Board recommends that you recall the coach’s Porter License for Coach | Casinos and games

A horse that won at the Elko County Fair Board race in August was drugged with cocaine and Nevada Gaming Control Board on Wednesday voted to recall the racing license for the horse’s coach and fines him $ 5,000.

The Nevada Gaming Commission on April 24 will consider penalties that are greater than can be imposed by the agreed state horse -run trustee, Doug Ray.

Ray stated that in the second race in the August 24 event in Elko County, no. 6 horse, which was named Saime Pro, trained by Alvaro Torres, won the race and its $ 7,000 handbag. The horse was submitted for drug testing, a routine procedure for the winner.

The test results indicated levels of the forbidden substance cocaine, as well as an important urine metabolite of cocaine in the urine sample after the race. As a result, the profits were redistributed from the horse, and the state manager fined Torres $ 1,000 and canceled his Nevada Horseracing license for 180 days, the maximum scope of the trustee’s authority.

But the rules of the game say that the trustee can appeal to the control committee and the Commission for a larger penalty.

The regulation that allows the trustee to appeal for a larger sanction has been around for at least 30 years and the Deputy National Attorney John Micheala said that the Wednesday negotiation was the first time a trustee ever appealed to use it.

The Control Board recommended that the Commission Fine Torre’s another $ 4,000 and recall his license immediately and prohibits him from applying for five years.

Torres did not attend Wednesday’s hearing and could not be reached for comments.

This is a developing story. Come back for updates.
