New state report says that the profits for Nevada’s largest casinos | Casinos and games

The state’s 307 largest hotel casinos earned $ 2.6 billion in profit from $ 31.5 billion in revenue, which included $ 11.3 billion in gaming revenue, during the 2024 financial year, reported Nevada Gaming Control Board.

The Control Board estimated that these properties, defined as hotel casinos that collected at least $ 1 million per year in gaming revenue, paid the state $ 1.16 billion in gaming taxes and fees during the financial year.

Economic details were released on Friday as part of the state’s 179-page 2024 Nevada Gaming Abstract report issued annually and includes statistics for the financial year which ended on June 30.

Game revenue represented 35.8 percent of total revenue and continued the trend that began in the mid-2000s of resorts that did more from categories than their casinos.

In Clark County, which had 179 qualified resorts, net profit was $ 2.3 billion, a decrease of 24 percent from a year ago, from total revenue of $ 28.5 billion, an increase of 6.2 percent and gaming revenue on $ 9.8 billion, an increase of 4.3 percent.

Las Vegas Strip Properties revenue reached $ 820.2 million, a decrease of 40.4 percent, of $ 21.9 billion, an increase of 6.8 percent, with gaming revenue of $ 5.7 billion, an increase of 4 , 9 percent.

For central Las Vegas Properties, revenues were estimated at $ 199.4 million, a decrease of $ 23.1 percent, at $ 1.6 billion, an increase of 3.3 percent, with gaming revenue of $ 797.6 million, an increase of 3 , 2 percent.

One of the 14 markets that are state -monitored by the Control Board showed a net loss for the financial year 2024. South Lake Tahoe reported a net loss of $ 30.4 million from total income of $ 389 million, $ 172.6 million of it from gambling.

The largest increases in total revenue and gaming revenue came from remote Clark County, which benefited by the opening of Durango in December 2023. Total revenue increased $ 8.1 percent to $ 3.1 billion and gaming revenue increased by 6.7 percent to $ 2 billion dollar.
