
Jared Goff, Justin Jefferson and NFC built a large lead over AFC in 2025 NFL Pro Bowl games on Thursday, the first night of the competition for this year’s NFL All-Stars in Orlando.
Over six total event-five live and a pre-recorded NFC page a lead of 14-7 before the Sunday finals, which will contain three additional competitions and a flag football match to determine the winner.
Skill showdown started Thursday with that testing competition, which put Pro Bowl -quarterback’s accuracy and trivia knowledge to the test.
Goff of the Detroit Lions secured three points for NFC with 44 points. He was followed by Minnesota Vikings Sam Darnold (39 points).
Each quarterback started with 40 seconds on the clock and got another 10 seconds for each trivia question they answered correctly. Goals in the passing part of the game were worth one to five points.
Next was the satisfactory catch competition. It contained a wide recipient, narrow end and defensive back from each conference that squared in an obstacle course that demanded that they capture machine throw in three different locations.
Vikings ‘Jefferson, Arizona Cardinals’ Trey McBride and Chicago Bears ‘Jaylon Johnson secured the victory in 1 minute, 57 seconds while the AFC side of Cincinnati Bengals’ Ja’marr Chase, Las Vegas Raiders ‘Brock Bowers and The Cincinnati Texans’ Der Stingley Jr. only fell short at 2:06.
In the Big Spike event, three linemen from each side used “nail-o-meter” to determine who could nail the ball hardest. Each player received three attempts to secure the top nail – measured with a combination of power and impact.
New York Jets’ Quinnen Williams got a 982 to get AFC on the board in the Pro Bowl games. The New York Giants’ Dexter Lawrence (979 points) was a close second with its first peak at night.
NFC edged AFC 8-6 in the Helmet Harmony event, a Gameshow competition testing of the players’ knowledge of their teammates. Six participants from each page were involved in this new event, which hosted the actor Terry Crews, with a point distributed for each correct answer.
The NFC was also explained by the winner in the relay. Three groups of four players from each conference participated in three heats with a 40-yard, where each competitor handed over a football to the next teammate. NFC took two out of three heat for a 2-1 advantage in overall points for this competition.
In one of the most awaited events, AFC and NFC both took home three points. Two rounds with Dodgeball were played with five players on each page. AFC won the first game, and NFC secured three points for the second game.
There was some confusion before and during the competence exhibition, as the rules were released just one day before the action started.
The Pro Bowl games are held annually during the week between the conference championships and the Super Bowl. They will end on Sunday afternoon.
