The NFL season can be divided into several sections. After the Super Bowl, the attention is turned to the Scouting Combine, free agency and then the draft.
The unofficial start of the NFL Free Agency starts at noon on Monday 10 March. Officially, players cannot sign until 16.00 on Wednesday, March 12.
It gives team officials 52 hours to make their seats into player agents and vice versa.
The salary capture will reportedly be a record $ 279.2 million per team in 2025, an increase of $ 23.8 million from last season.
So there will be money to spend.
But who can best spend it on?
Left tackling Ronnie Stanley is regarded by many as the best free agent available, but he has said he wants to end his career with Baltimore Ravens.
Defensive tackle Milton Williams from the defending Super Bowl champion Philadelphia Eagles has never had more than five bags for one season, but he may pay in with a thin free agent class.
Then there are players like Aaron Rodgers, a future Hall of Famer that the Quarterback needs New York Jets have said they do not want back. The 41-year-old Rodgers would love one last shot on a title but can be seen as a little more than a bridge candidate for a team that develops a younger quarterback.
Would Rodgers go for it? Would any challenger take a chance at Rodgers’ Off-Field baggage?
Here are three bold predictions for free agency:
1. QB Sam Darnold to Giants
Darnold began his career in Meadowlands after being No. 3 overall choice of Jets 2018. Both New York teams look for quarterbacks, but when an NFL Insider joked, Darnold would beat for Mets before returning to Jets, who Jettisonade him to Carolina after three seasons where he went 13-25.
Darnold was signed as a stop gap of Minnesota last year and produced the best season of his career as a 27-year-old and threw for 4,319 meters and 35 touchdowns and served a Pro Bowl-selection after led the Vikings to a surprising 14-3 record. Yes, he fought in the regular season final against Detroit and in the first round of the playoffs against Los Angeles Rams when he was under constant pressure.
The Vikings could have placed the franchise company at Darnold as in 2024 first round JJ McCarthy continues to rehabilitate after missing the entire Rookie season due to a broken meniscus in their premise debut, but they chose not to. Giants has the total election # 3 in this year’s draft, but is one of the college quarter backs really worth that election? Darnold was NFL’s most accurate passer on deep throws last season, and Giants must get last year’s first round, Malik Nabers, the ball.
2. Edge Josh sweat to the Cardinals

There are always players who receive a big salary after winning championships. Sweat numbers to raise money after discouraging Kansas City’s Patrick Mahomes 2 1/2 times and helping to force a eavesdropping in Filadelfia’s upset victory in Super Bowl 59.
Washington figures to go hard after sweat in free agency – if you can’t beat them, sign them – not only to strengthen their passport -rush but also weaken a divisional rival. However, Sweat has history with cardinal coach Jonathan Gannon, who was Eagles defensive coordinator before going to Arizona two years ago. In fact, sweat had its most productive season during Gannon and registered a career high 48 tackles and 11 sacks in 2021 when he did Pro Bowl.
The Cardinals have not had a player with double -digit sacks since the retired JJ Watt 2022 and had no one with more than five last season. Coming to Quarterbacken is of great importance in the very competitive NFC West, and the cardinals are not so far away. Now that sweat has a championship ring, it’s time to get back some of the money he didn’t get on his rookie agreement after being a fourth round of Florida State.
3. RB Najee Harris to the Cowboys

Last year’s biggest free agent signing was Saquon Barkley who left Giants to go to Philadelphia, where he rushed for 2,005 meters and led the Eagles to a Super Bowl title.
He may have broken Eric Dickerson’s NFL record on 2,105 rushing farms for a season if not to sit out the regular season finale to rest for the playoffs.
Should Jerry Jones and Cowboys have persecuted Barkley (and Derrick Henry) more intensely last season? Absolutely. To take back an aging Ezekiel Elliott was not the answer, as he rushed just 264 meters. They have the eyes of Boise State Ashton Jeanty, a Heisman Trophy finalist, in the draft, but there is no guarantee that he will reach them at No. 12 in total.
Harris, who has spent his entire career in Pittsburgh, does not have Barkley’s great gaming ability-he average only 3.9 meters per berry and has never had a run longer than 37 meters-but he has started all 17 matches each of the last four seasons and has exceeded 1,000 meters that rushed in each. He is not the big star Jones and the cowboys are normally targeted, but there is something to say for texture.
