NTMR, timeless and team fluid are bound on top of the position for the Overwatch Champions series’ North American Stage 1 after week 3 wins on Saturday.
All three teams published 3-0 Svep, with NTMR that took down Shikigami, timeless that defeated Rad Esports and Team Liquid Downing Amplify.
The $ 100,000 tournament, which is played online, has eight teams. The regular Round Robin season ends February 23, with six qualified teams on their way to the regional playoffs with double elimination.
The first place will take home $ 30,000, the team in second place will earn $ 20,000 and both will earn quay sites in OCS’s Champions Clash.
On Saturday, NTMR opened with a 2-0 victory at Nepal Control, followed up with a 135.88 M-67.33 m victory at Esperanca Push and dressed the match 3-0 at Suravasa Flashpoint. American-Ecuadorian Xavier “Zeruhh” Zambrano was elected to the MVP match.
Timeless did not allow a point in its sweep and took Lijiang Tower Control (2-0), Havana Escort (1-0) and Suravasa Flashpoint (3-0), with American-Bangladeshi Rupal “Rupal” Zaman serving MVP awards.
Team Liquid had a little tougher time in its sweep and won 2-0 at Samoa Control before 3-2 wins on road 66 escort and Eichenwalde Hybrid. MVP awards were awarded American Ryan “Squid” Ruffell.
