NYCFC Transfer D Christian McFarlane to Man City

New York City FC announced the permanent transfer on Monday by 18-year-old defender Christian McFarlane to Manchester City.

The English natives will be the first NYCFC -homeGROWN player to pass through the entire development of the MLS club and joins a Premier League page.

McFarlane joined NYCFC Academy at the age of 11 in 2018, signed a first team agreement by 14 years 2021 and debuted MLS 2024 and shows up in eight league matches with four starts.

“We are extremely proud to see Christian reach this incredible milestone in his career,” said sports director David Lee. “… for Christian now to have the opportunity to continue his journey in Manchester City, a club at the top of world football, is proof of his hard work, talent and commitment. I can’t wait to follow his career and see how good He will do in Manchester knowing that he will give everything he can to reach the highest level he can possibly in football.

New York City will receive a sales percentage if McFarlane is sold in the future.
