On Defense: Travi’s Hunter to train as DB on Combine

Heisman Trophy winner Travi’s Hunter, who played the lead role at Colorado on both Cornerback and wide receiver, will train with defensive slopes at the NFL Scouting Combine, which begins later this month.

Hunter’s Name was among the list of 329 prospects invited to participate in Combine, which goes from February 24-March 3.

As a wide receiver, he took 96 passes of 1,258 meters and 15 touchdowns, plus a rushing touchdown. As Cornerback, this year’s All -American and national players had 36 tackles, 11 passport divisions and four interceptions in 13 matches.

While Hunter, 21, has expressed an interest in playing both positions in the NFL, the Speids generally see him as a Cornerback.

In the latest hollow drafts, NFL.com projects New York Giants to choose Hunter with the total election # 3, while Pro Football Focus sends him to Cleveland Browns with the No. 2 election.

Among those with invited to Combine are Hunter’s College teammate, Quarterback Shedeur Sanders, who are expected to be worked out early in the first round.

Overall, the national champion Ohio State leads the road with 15 combined invitations.

Georgia and Texas bands for the second most invitations with 14 each.
