Florida Panthers forward Matthew Tkachuk was placed on damaged reserve on Sunday due to a groin injury.
However, it was not immediately known if Tkachuk is on the traditional damaged reserve or long -term IR.
Tkachuk, 27, has put out Panthers last four matches after being injured during the face of the four nations.
Evan Rodrigues and Mackie Samoskevich could see additional ice age instead of Tkachuk, which has a total of 57 points (22 goals, 35 assists) in 52 matches this season.
Tkachuk, a Stanley Cup champion with Florida, has a total of 636 points (240 goals, 396 assists) in 642 career games with Calgary Flames and Panthers.
