Providence coach Kim English said on Monday that Bryce Hopkins will miss the rest of the season with a knee injury, the second straight season that the star forward has had cards.

Hopkins got an ACL year in his left knee on January 3, 2024 and not only missed the end of the 2023-24 season, but also the beginning of the current campaign.

He returned on December 3 against Byu and received 16, 16 and 19 points in December three -matches before he was hit by a leg mark in the same knee.

On its local TV show on Monday, English Hopkin’s status revealed.

“Bryce won’t play the rest of this season,” said English. “And I get it. I get it with losing his junior season last year after playing in 13 matches.”

“We didn’t want it to be one thing where Bryce handles his necke play for playing half a season,” he added. “He will get a (medical) red shirt and we will start our focus on getting him right for the next season.”

Hopkins was transferred to Providence 2022 after being used easily during his New Year’s year at Kentucky. In 50 matches (all starts) with Fries Hopkins has an average of 15.8 points, 8.5 returns and 2.1 assists per match.
