Texas Rangers Outfielder Adolis Garcia (oblique) avoided a major damage and is expected to be ready for the opening day.
Rangers Manager Bruce Bochy told reporters on Wednesday that an MRI revealed Garcia suffered a mild tribe, “not really” a class 1.
Garcia was scraped from Tuesday’s spring training game against athletics after complaining about tenderness in his left oblique.
Garcia saw his World Series running in 2023 was interrupted by an oblique injury.
At the same time, Bochy said to start left -hander Wyatt Langford, who received a load in class 1 in his left oblique last month, could make his spring training debut sometime this week. Langford belt 16 home purchases and drove in 74 runs during its rookie year in 2024.
Garcia, 32, beat .224 with 25 homers and 85 RBI in 154 games last season.
Garcia is a twice All-Star, a career .239 Hitter with 122 Homers and 384 RBI in 631 matches.
