Rays’ Shane McClanahan is removed from the game with obvious arm injury

Tampa Bay Ray’s left -hander Shane McClanahan left her last spring training start against Boston Red Sox with an obvious injury to his pitching.

McClanahan has come from Tommy John Surgery and has not appeared in a Major League game since August 2023.

McClanahan beat 2 1/3 rounds and handed over a hit and a walk, knocked out three and in front of nine beats. But after his pitch to the Red Soprospectus Kristian Campbell, Grima’s McClanahan in obvious pain when his left arm dropped aside, and he immediately demanded a member of the education.

Manager Kevin Cash previously mentioned McClanahan, 27, as Rays’ starting jar for the season opener March 28 against Kyle Freeland and Colorado Rockies. That debut date is now in serious doubt.

McClanahan started the opening day for the rays in both 2022 and 2023, and he threw 10 1/3 speechless innings, together.

After three major league seasons, McClanahan has a record of 33-16 with a 3.02 era in 74 matches. The twice All-Star has thrown 404.2 rounds with 456 strikes.
