Dodge is trying to join the Nascar Truck Series competition again as early as 2026, reported The Athletic.

The manufacturer has submitted paperwork to get NASCAR’s approval to enter the series through its framework mark of trucks, according to the report, published Saturday. Already, Chevrolet, Ford and Toyota Trucks compete on the circuit.

The application is examined. To return to the track in 2026, approval would be needed within the next few months to give Dodge time to fine -tune the truck for racing.

NASCAR refused to comment on Athletic, who said that Dodge Trucks competed in the truck series from 1995 to 2016, with three manufacturers championships and two drivers championships in this span.

Dodges also competed earlier in the Cup series and was able to return later in the decade after a truck series, according to Athletic.
