Jacksonville Jaguars plans to release wide recipient Christian Kirk, reported ESPN Wednesday.
The move will save Jaguar’s $ 10.4 million against the salary ceiling.
Kirk was led into the last season of a four -year, $ 72 million contract he signed with Jaguars in 2022. The deal included a $ 20 million signing bonus and $ 37 million in guaranteed money.
Kirk, 28, long-term seasonal injuries each of the last two seasons-a broken bone in 2024 and a nuclear muscle injury in 2023.
It followed his career best 2022 season, where he started 17 matches, spoke 1,108 meters and got eight touchdowns.
Last season he showed up in eight matches (seven starts) and captured 27 workouts of 379 meters and a touchdown.
In 93 career games (77 starts) with Arizona Cardinals (2018-21) and Jaguars he has 404 receptions for 5 176 meters with 29 touchdowns.
