Report: Knicks to sign F PJ Tucker to 2-year agreement

New York Knicks plans to sign PJ Tucker for a two -year contract, ESPN reported on Monday. The second year will reportedly be a team alternative.

Tucker had signed two 10-day contracts with Knicks in the past month. But he just showed up in a game for the team and logged two minutes.

The 39-year-old veteran has had a long, productive NBA career and played in 884 total matches with eight different franchises. He won an NBA championship with Milwaukee Bucks 2021.

During the 2022-23 season, Tucker started 75 matches for the Philadelphia 76ers, an average of 3.5 points and 3.9 returns, while they shot 39.3 percent from 3.

Three matches in the 2023-24 campaign, Tucker was traded to the Los Angeles Clippers as part of James Harden Deal. After fit up in 28 games for Clippers, he was out of the rotation.

Eventually, the Clippers and Tucker mutually agreed that he would be away from the team while looking for a trade destination for him. He was eventually moved to Utah Jazz and then quickly tilted to Toronto Raptors, who waived him.

Tucker has a cut average of 6.6 points, 5.4 returns, 1.4 assists and 1.1 steal per match.
