Left tackling Tyron Smith will sign a day contract with Dallas Cowboys and retire after 14 NFL seasons, reported NFL Network Tuesday.

Smith, 34, played 13 seasons in Dallas before spent last year with the New York Jets.

He is an eight times Pro Bowl and the five-o’clock all-pro-in-two first team and three second team elections, including a second team node in 2023.

Smith was selected by Dallas with the ninth overall choice of the 2011 NFL draft from Southern California.

He has not played more than 13 matches during a season since 2015 due to injuries. He played only two in 2020 (neck surgery), 11 in 2021 (ankle damage) and four 2022 (broken hamstring). Smith missed the last seven games in 2024 with a neck injury.
