ESPN long retains “College GameDay” -host Davis on a seven -year contract worth “tens of millions” dollars, reported athletic Sunday.
Fox Sports reportedly made a strong pressure to hire Davis to host his “Big Noon kickoff” feeling, the main competitor to “College Gameday” at College Fotboll Saturdays.
Davis, 59, worked as a sports anchor and reporter at a television station in Flint, Mich., From 1993-95 immediately before joining ESPN, where he had roles in a variety of coverage areas before he became the founding values for “College GameDay” in 2005. He is also worth the College basket.
Athletic said he accepted “a small hometown discount” to stay with ESPN, which will guarantee him to lead college football’s host services until 2032 – the end of the network’s college football game. The report included the FOoffer to lead the coverage of men’s World Cup 2026 and call college basketball.
At Fox, Rob Stone hosts “Big Noon kickoff” along with a panel that includes Charles Woodson, Brady Quinn, Matt Leinart and Urban Meyer.
Davis’s colleagues at ESPN include Desmond Howard, Kirk Herbstreit, Nick Saban, Lee Corso and Pat McAfee.
