Dallas Cowboys acquires Quarterback Joe Milton III from New England Patriots, several media reported on Thursday.
Per ESPN sends the cowboys its compensatory fifth round to the patriots and a seventh round.
Milton, 25, will serve as a backup to DAK Prescott in Dallas after Cooper Rush signed with Baltimore Raven last month. Trey Lance, Cowboys’ Third String Quarterback The last two seasons, is a free agent.
