Reports: Golden Knights Reacire Reilly Smith from Rangers

Vegas Golden Knights acquired Reilly Smith from the New York Rangers on Thursday in exchange for Brendan Brisson and a draft third round in 2025, according to several reports.

Smith played for six seasons (2017-23) for Vegas and was part of the team that won the 2023 Stanley Cup.

Smith, 33, has 10 goals and 29 points in 58 games this season for Rangers.

During 14 NHL seasons, Smith has 223 goals and 542 points in 898 career games with six teams. His first term of office with Golden Knights is the longest stint in this career.

Smith is scheduled to become a free agent after the season.

Brisson, 23, was a first choice (no. 29 in total) in the draft by 2020. He has played in 24 NHL games, including nine speechless performances this season. He had two goals and eight points in total.

He has played in 45 games with Henderson Silver Knights in the American Hockey League this season. He has five goals and 19 points.
