Resorts World Las Vegas hires Greg Shulman to attract international players | Casinos and games

A megare resort on the strip that wants to expand its global reach has taken in an industry veteran with a proven track record to attract international players to Las Vegas.

Resorts World Las Vegas announced the appointment of Greg Shulman as CEO of international marketing. According to a press release, Shulman’s new role will focus on advanced player development as part of the property’s “long -term growth strategy to expand our international presence.”

Shulman served as Vice President of Casino Marketing at Off-Strip Palms Hotel casino for just over three years before joining Resorts World on March 17.

In the news message, the long -standing game manager said he was “excited to go into the next chapter in my career” and “contribute to (Resorts Worlds) success when we look to accelerate our growth in the international VIP player market.”

Shulman’s CV includes being part of the opening team at Bellagio in 1998 and spending more than one and a half decades as an international marketer for Strip Casino’s parent company, MGM Resorts International.

Carlos Castro, Resorts World’s Chief Operating Officer and CFO, said that Shulman is “widely regarded as one of the best player development leaders” in the casino industry.

“Greg’s impressive career in the gaming industry is proof of his leadership and relationships all over the world,” Castro said.

Both Castro and Shulman worked for MGM Resorts when Las Vegas-based Gaming and Hospitality Corporation was led by Jim Murren, now chairman of Resorts World’s recently formed board.

“Greg has a proven result of implementing marketing strategies that attract new target groups and run economic growth,” Murren said. “We are pleased that Greg continues to expand our global casino marketing efforts here at Resorts World Las Vegas, and we are convinced that he will be part of supporting our ongoing success and development.”

Following a successful opening in June 2021, Resorts World, a property of $ 4.3 billion north of the strip, has been damaged by controversy that has so far resulted in a high -profile division of ways with its opening day leader, an indirect role in an illegal sports game scandal involving a large league from Sports game scandal involving a great league’s superstar and several disciplinary complaints from the state, an indirect role in an illegal sports game scandal involving a large league’s superstÃ¥ng fine in Nevada history.

In addition to Murren, the Board includes the former chairman of the game control AG Burnett; Michelle Ditondo, an experienced director of human resources who worked at MGM and Caesars; KH Tan, President and CEO of Resorts World Parent Gheing Berhad; And former chairman of the Nevada Gaming Commission Brian Sandoval, a former Nevada Governor, national lawyer and current president of the University of Nevada, Reno.

In January, the Board hired Alex Dixon to serve as the CEO.
