Colorado Rockies signed the previous No. 1 Overall draft Mickey Moniak to an annual agreement on Thursday and added the excursion to their opening day list.
Moniak, 26, was released by Los Angeles Angels on Tuesday after 2 1/2 seasons with the club.
According to several reports, Moniak’s business is worth $ 1.25 million.
For five seasons, Moniak is a .230 Hitter with a .673 OPS, 32 home races and 105 RBI in 275 matches with Philadelphia Phillies (2020-22) and angels. He was the first overall draft of Phillies 2016 and traded to the Angels in 2022 in the store that sent his right hand Noah Synergaard to Philadelphia.
Moniak showed promise in 2023 when he beat .280 with 14 homers and 45 RBI in 85 matches for the angels. But last season his average fell to .219 and he had 14 homers and 49 RBI in a pile of 124 matches.
