The Seattle Seahawks released Tyler Lockett on Wednesday and separated roads with the broad recipient after ten seasons.
The Seahawks made the move as opposed to paying Locket $ 17 million this season, including a Roster Bonus of $ 5.3 million due to March 16.
Seattle’s passers-by has moved to Jaxon Smith-Njigba, who band Lockett’s franchise record with 100 catches last season. Lockett had 100 receptions in 2020.
Lockerett, 32, finished with 49 catches for 600 meters and two touchdowns in 17 matches (14 starts) last season.
Lockett is a one-time all-pro and pro bowl-selection and has 661 receptions for 8,594 receiving farms and 61 touchdowns in their career. Each total is only ranked second to the Hall of Famer Steve Largent (819, 13,089, 100) in franchise history.
Lockett was elected by the Seahawks in the third round of the NFL draft 2015 from Kansas State.
“I really liked being in Seattle!” Lockerett wrote on social media. “I met so many amazing people and captured so many amazing memories! The 12th century really makes this place meaningful! Although my time at Seahawks may have run its time I am grateful for everything !!”

Seahawk’s head coach Mike Macdonald was quick to praise Lockets for everything he has done with the organization.
“You think of Tyler and his career and arc in his career, and to have that mentality, man, just humility, put the team first, what else can you ask for?” Said MacDonald. “And he loves ball. That guy comes out here. He has done it for so long, but enthusiasm, attitude, productivity, man. The city knows Tyler, shooting, better than I do, but getting to know him this year has been a blessing for me personally. I mean this guy, he is just one of one.
