Southern Cal Drops to No. 7 in the latest Top 25 Survey

Southern Cal’s shocking loss to Iowa lost Trojans three places to No. 7 in Associated Press Top 25 Women’s Poll which was released on Monday.

Sunday’s loss 76-69 to Hawkeyes-As Ie when Iowa retired the former star Caitlin Clark’s jersey-where the second of the Trojans (19-2) season, with the first to come in November to visit Notre Dame.

The three best team-super-super (21-0), South Carolina (21-1) and Notre Dame (19-2)-passed the same as last week’s survey, with Bruins who nabbed all 32 first place votes that only teams that remain undefeated.

Coming behind Notre Dame is three teams that moved up a place with USC’s drop no. 4 Texas (22-2), No. 5 Uconn (21-2) and No. 6 LSU (23-1). Behind them rounds Ohio State (20-1) TCU (21-2) and Duke (17-4) top 10.

No teams left the survey this week but many positions were mixed, with Michigan State (18-4) which maintained the largest drop-four location-to no. 20 thanks to a 63-59 home loss to Oregon on Thursday.
