Sweeps was today’s order in the Overwatch Champions series’ North American Stage 1 on Saturday.
Spacestation Gaming’s Win moved them on top of the position, with the other two victories, NTMR and Team Liquid, also in the top four.
The $ 100,000 tournament, which is played online, has eight teams. The regular Round Robin season ends on February 23, with six qualified teams that then go to the regional playoffs with double elimination.
The first place will take home $ 30,000, the team in second place will earn $ 20,000, and both will earn quay sites in OCS’s Champions Clash.
On Saturday, Spacestation Gaming began its match with Avidity with a 2-1 victory at Lijiang Tower Control. They followed it with a 3-1 victory at Suravasa Flashpoint and ended the closure at Esperanca Push, 142.41 to 34.52 m. Kim “Kellan” Min-Jae of South Korea received a match MVP awards.
NTMR opened its swipe of Amplify with a 2-0 victory at Lijiang Tower Control. Then came a 4-3 judgment about Havana Escort, and then a 3-1 victory on Suravasa Flashpoint. Benjamin “Ultraviolet” David of the United States was named MVP match.
Team Liquid took care of Rad Esports. It started with a 2-0 victory at Lijiang Tower Control, continued 3-2 on Eichenwalde Hybrid and finished 3-0 at Dorado Escort. Boston “infected” fines of the United States claimed match MVP awards.
