Spirit Sign Nigerian F married Monday to 3-year-old deal

Washington Spirit announced a three -year agreement with Nigerian’s forward gift Monday on Tuesday.

The deal includes a team alternative in 2028 and an unclear transfer fee paid to the Spanish side of the UD TENERIFE.

“Married has unique properties as one forward and will add a new layer to our attacking third,” said Spirit coach Jonathan Giraldez. “We are pleased to welcome her to the team in the near future.”

Monday 23, registered 26 target contributions in 65 matches with UD Tenerife from 2022-25. She previously played for Nigerias FC Robo and Cod United Amazons.

She debuted for the Nigerian national team in 2019 and participated in the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2023.

“I’m happy to join the Washington Spirit family because I have long wanted to play for the club,” Monday said. “I can’t wait to start living the dream.”
