Station Casinos’ Stn Sports would start running sports books on Treasure Island and two Mesquite properties at the end of May if a Nevada Gaming Control Board recommendation is approved by the Nevada Gaming Commission.
On Wednesday, the Board recommended unanimous approval of the station’s plan to establish the kiosk operations on its first stripped (Treasure Island) and at Mesquites Casablanca and Virgin River Properties.
The Gaming Commission is expected to consider final approval on April 24.
According to the terms of the station’s renewable five-year agreement with the three properties, station would initially install its stage Technology Group platform to take sports trollers. Eventually, the company would switch to a system developed by Irvine, California-based Gan Ltd. That the station’s properties are field testing.
GAN and station announced the acquisition of the new platform, a platform for companies to a consumer called GameStack 2.0, in December 2023.
The GAN system will accommodate investment in the game and is one of the few platforms that allows players to invest both sports and investment in horse racing.
Jason Simbal, head of racial and sports analysis at station, said that the three properties will have different employee agreements, and all existing workers will retain their jobs.
On Treasure Island, the station facility will be labeled as STN -Sport at Golden Circle Sports Book & Bar, and the Sportsbook team will be station employees. At the two Mesquite properties, workers will continue to be regarded as employees in their respective locations.
With the addition of the three properties, Stn Sports would handle 19 sports books all over the state.
