There is optimism in Pittsburgh that four times NFL most valuable players Aaron Rodgers will Quarterbacka Steeler’s 2025.
Team owner Art Rooney II told reporters Tuesday at the NFL year meeting in Palm Beach, Florida, that there are indicators that Rodgers, a free agent, will sign with Steelers.
“We continue to hear that he is, I guess, on his way in our direction,” Rooney said. “And so it seems [mean] All characters are positive so far. “
Among the signs is a meeting with Steelers as well as a throwing session at UCLA with newly acquired wide receiver DK Metcalf.
Rodgers has weighed its options for next season since he was released by the New York Jets last month. Rooney suggested that the team has not ended patience and will continue to wait for Rodgers.
“Not forever, but a little longer,” he said.
Russell Wilson and Justin Fields were the starters in Pittsburgh last season and both signed free agent agreements to play in New York – Wilson with Giants, Fields with Jets.
Quarterbacks currently on the guard list is Mason Rudolph, a former Steeler that returns after a season with Tennessee Titans, and Skylar Thompson, former Miami Dolphins Security Security.
Rodgers passed for 3,897 meters and 28 Touchdowns 2024 and returned from a season-ending Achilles injury that was affected in his first game with Jets in September 2023.
On 10 o’clock Pro Bowl-Election is ranked fifth in league history in touchdown pass (503) and seventh in passing farms (62,952).
