One often overturned but rarely out of sight Las Vegas Casino doubles on player -friendly games as part of a committed effort to get value and fun back to games.
Strat Hotel-Casino increased the number of 3: 2 blackjack tables on its main game floor last week, according to Skylar Dice, the property’s senior vice president and general manager.
Strat Hotel, Casino & Tower is the latest Las Vegas Casino that has shifted to Blackjack games with a better payment for players, pushes back to an annual industry trend towards the less favorable 6: 5 tables that are often found on the strip and become more and more common center.
In addition to the better blackjack conditions, Strat also introduced several one-zero roulette tables in 2024, another player-friendly variant compared to the more used double-noll roulette. The birthplace of Crapless Craps – which has a higher house edge than its traditional counterpart – also offers ten times odds at their tables, the only property along Las Vegas Boulevard to do so.
Dice said that the changes in the casino floor were born from guest feedback and were implemented with a focus on guest satisfaction.
“Loyal guests and customers said they wanted to see more games that are player -friendly, and we listened to them,” he said, leaving to do not completely do away with 6: 5 blackjack or double zero roulette. “We offer some of everything because there are still players who prefer (these games).”
Strat is owned and operated by the Golden Entertainment Inc., a Nevada-based gaming and hospitality company whose portfolio contains eight casinos (including Strat) and 72 local gaming nodes.
Dice attributed the ability to turn so quickly and easily at the property level to Golden Entertainment’s commitment to providing a “great gaming experience.”
“(These changes) really fit into who we are as a company,” he said. “People come here to have a good time. It should be fun, and we want to place Strat as a place where players go to the game.”
Palms, an off-strip casino hotel owned and operated by San Manuel Band of Mission Indians, made headlines earlier this year after announcing that it eliminated all 6: 5 Blackjack and would only offer 3: 2 games. The move was generally praised by the gaming community and, according to sources on the property, has been well received.
