Nevada casinos had their best December in history last month and catapulted the state for its fourth straight record year for the 2024 game win, says Nevada Gaming Control Board Thursday.
The state ended the calendar year with one stroke. The $ 1.46 billion that won with 436 casinos that are state -owned in December – an increase of 2 percent compared to the previous December – lifted annual state victory to $ 15.6 billion, or 0.5 percent better than 2023.
The state set a record for all the time for gaming wins in four calendar years in a row, according to Michael Lawton, the Stand Board’s economic analyst. In addition to the state, Clark County, central Las Vegas, Mesquite, set off Clark County and the Carson Valley game amount in 2024.
The average growth rate over the past ten years was 6.1 percent. Last year, total victory increased by 3.2 percent in the first six months and decreased by 2 percent the other six.
Noticeably absent from the list of record markets: the strip.
“Unlike last year (2023), the driving force behind this year’s record playing sums was not the Las Vegas strip,” Lawton said in an analysis. “In fact, when they excluded the strip from the total of the year, the total victory in the entire state increased by 2.6 percent or $ 173.2 million. During the calendar year 2023, the strip accounted for 90.2 percent of the calendar year 23’s $ 678.4 million growth compared to the calendar year 2022.
