Surge Edge Cloud9 in the back and forth battle in step 2 Major qualification

Vancouver Surge surpassed Cloud9 New York 3-2 on Sunday in qualified Call of Duty League’s Stage 2 Major.

Vancouver took an early leadership of the prevailing 250-181 at Vault Hardpoint, but it could never pull away from New York. Cloud9 took two of the next three maps to set up a winner-take-all meeting on the protocol, where the over-voltage cruised to a 6-1 victory while playing Search & Destroy.

Each of the 12 CDL team will play seven qualified matches until March 16 and set up sowing for Stage 2 Major, scheduled for March 20-23 in Dallas.

In the second action on Sunday, Los Angeles Thieves and Toronto Ultra were each with a 3-1 victory. Los Angeles beat Vegas Falcons, while Toronto tackled Carolina Royal Ravens.

The Minnesota Rokkr had no problem getting past optical Texas and winning 3-0 by taking Skyline Hardpoint 250-226, Vault Search & Destroy 6-4 and Vault Control 3-2.
