Team Liquid and Avididity won via Svep to end week 2 in the Overwatch Champions series’ North American Stage 1 on Sunday.
Liquid’s 3-0 victory over Shikigami put them on top of the position at 3-1 (bound with distance games), and Avidity beat Rad Esports with the same score.
The $ 100,000 tournament, which is played online, has eight teams. The regular Round Robin season ends on February 23, with six qualified teams that then go to the regional playoffs with double elimination.
The first place will take home $ 30,000, the team in second place will earn $ 20,000, and both will earn quay sites in OCS’s Champions Clash.
On Sunday, Liquid cruised past Shikigami by winning 2-0 at Lijiang Tower Control, 3-0 at Suravasa Flashpoint and 142.41-26.18 at Esperanca Push. Boston “infected” fine of fluid was called Match MVP.
Avidence was cut off on three close maps: 2-0 on Samoa Control, 2-1 on Eichenwalde Hybrid and 2-1 at Havana Escort. Avididity Luke “Pela” cousins won MVP awards.
The competition resumes Friday with two matches:
