His course architectural company, TGR Design, will also design the new, nine-hole short course as part of the renovation of Augusta Municipal Golf Course, often known as “The Patch.”
“Today’s announcements mark an important milestone for Augusta and deepen the connection that our society has with one of our greatest champions, Tiger Woods,” Ridley said. “We are grateful to collaborate with the TGR Foundation and jointly invest in the Augusta community. This partnership, in TGR Learning Lab, reflects our shared interest in increasing access to high quality programming and affecting the next generation in a concrete way.

“Collaborating with Augusta National Golf Club to serve its surrounding community is really special,” Woods said. “My passion for education and golf goes back for a long time, as well as my relationship with Augusta National and the city of Augusta. This is a transforming opportunity to strengthen the next generation and deliver meaningful education programming and access to fun and affordable golf. I am happy to work with Augusta National and see that both projects become a reality.”
