Timeless games and distance games are tied on top of the position for the Overwatch Champions series’ North American Stage 1 after earning victories on Friday.
Spacestation Gaming defeated Amplify 3-1 while timeless SHIKIGAMI swept 3-0 when the week 2 measures were started. Both victories have won two of their three matches with regular season.
The $ 100,000 tournament, which is played online, has eight teams. The regular Round Robin season ends on February 23, with six qualified teams that then go to the regional playoffs with double elimination.
The first place will take home $ 30,000, the team in second place will earn $ 20,000, and both will earn quay in OCS’s Champions Clash.
On Friday, Timeless prevailed 2-0 in Lijiang Tower Control, 3-1 on Numbani Hybrid and 84.87 M-84.86 m on Esperanca Push. South Korean -American Joshua “Chopper” song of timeless the match MVP was chosen.
Spacestation Gaming jumped on top with a 2-0 victory at Lijiang Tower Control before Amplify took Suravasa Flashpoint 3-2. The distance sealed the match by catching Dorado Escort 1-0 and Colosseo 139.62m-37.03m. Canadian-American Alex “looking for” Taylor of Racestation received MVP awards.
