It is the shortest month of the year, but February packs a place when it comes to the sports calendar.
With Philadelphia Eagles crowned the Super Bowl Lix champion on Sunday evening, the football season is officially behind us. Still, there are some tent bar sports events in the immediate horizon that we have to look forward to, along with a little college Hoop’s fun before the selection Sunday arrives.
4 nations face-off
Did you know that Connor McDavid has not competed in an international event since 2018 IIHF World Championship? He has also not been Team Canada teammates with Sidney Crosby.
The league’s most talented young star was closed by two straight Olympics because of the NHL’s unwillingness to participate. “We can’t go six, seven, eight years without playing the best-to-best,” McDavid said after the NHL quoted Covid-19-Oro to withdraw from the 2022 Beijing games.
Enter the four nations face-off, a new tournament that I am fascinated by watching. The United States, Canada, Sweden and Finland have put together competitions filled with NHL talent and will play a round Robin in Montreal and Boston 12-17 Feb NHL players will return (knock on wood).
NBA All-Star Weekend

Speaking of new formats, All-Star Game will actually be a three-game tour when the NBA continues to fine-tune and think about the event in search of better grades.
Three All-Star teams have been prepared for the mini tournament, which also has a squad of rising stars. I guess it’s worth a shot. Kenny Smith was mocked round for the team he prepared, which allowed Team Shaq and Chuck to unbutton the biggest names in the sport as he satisfied himself with a bunch of supporting pieces around Anthony Edwards and Jalen Brunson.
The Dunk competition lineup is quite weak, while the 3-point competition has much more bankable name-but if I follow the NBA discourse correctly, no one will look at as the entire league has become a 3-point competition at this time.
Daytona 500

I admit that I am not a Nascar guy, but there is plenty of reason to catch some of the Daytona 500 on Sunday, starting with it being a Crown Jewel -ras and the first opportunity to see the sport’s star driver in months.
Can Kyle Busch finish his uncharacteristically long winless drought and win the Daytona for the first time? Can Denny Hamlin get hold of his fourth? And after receiving a preliminary injunction in its antitrust speech against Nascar, is Michael Jordan’s 23xi racing ready to focus on, yes, racing?
Top-Five College Hoops: Auburn on Alabama

The iron bowl on the hardwood? Please and thank you. This Saturday at 4 pm – Before you skip the Dunk competition in favor of literally all other evening plans – make sure you catch this game.
Florida just handed over then. 1 Auburn its first loss in Sec games, 90-81 at Auburn. Who will adopt place # 1 in Monday’s new AP survey? Probably Alabama, as No. 2 Duke also took a loss over the weekend while No. 3-Time Water improved to 20-3 with its sixth straight victory.
These teams have no. 1 and 8 points in the country. Alabama loves to run the floor with the fastest pace in the sport, defense is condemned. One former five -star transferred from one school to another. Bad blood? You should believe that.
